i’ve been ordering at this restaurant since 2016. their food is always so good! i get my food hot every time. however, their portion sizes have decreased significantly. to be expected though cause you know, inflation. the place is very clean, it’s obvious that they take very good care of the restaurant! they have many bubble tea flavours which i find quite nice. i ordered mango. however, their tea is not quite as good as you would find at other restaurants, such as coco fresh tea&juice. definitely the place to come for some good food, but not for just bubble tea or other drinks.

We had a quick stop at this Rice Bowl Deluxe for lunch. We ordered Pad Thai Noodle Bowl (with green onions, bean sprouts, egg, tofu, peanuts and shrimp), Macau Curry Beef Stew (with rice, beef brisket and potatoes), Malaysian Curry Laksa Noodle Soup (with tofu puffs, bean sprouts, fish balls and slices of fish cake) and Iced Tea & Fruit Juice that comes with pearls and jelly. To our surprise, all the food tasted delicious and very appetizing. Hubby really enjoyed his Macau Curry Beef Stew and finished everything off the bowl lol. We will try some other rice bowl options on our next visit!

* April 1st - Stopped by for a quick lunch and got 2 bowls of Malaysian Curry Laksa Noodle Soup with Seafood, a bowl of Bbq Pork Bowl and a Matcha Bubble Tea. Yummy!!

Rating Hold. The quality of food really depends on who is working in the kitchen. Some days, the food is a 5, and others a 3. Today, it's a 3; the food is too salty and has little to no wok hay.

On the bright side, they have some really great daily specials.

Feb 5, 2023 visit:
I'm not sure what happened within the last 3 weeks of visiting but the quality of food has drastically worsened; however, the service and atmosphere remains to be the same.

Let's go over the food-
Haiwanese chicken rice: Chicken looks dull and not fresh. The quantity of chicken has also decreased - it's almost all bones.

Shredded pork crispy noodle: worse compared with what was received last visit. Slurry was too thick, everything was mushy. Flavor is still somewhat there.

Black pepper beef spaghetti: lacked depth of flavor. The taste of black pepper was overpowering and concealed the taste of any other ingredients in the dish. Could not taste the beef whatsoever.

Good service, food is brought to table after ordering (maybe because it's not too busy).

Atmosphere is pretty nice. Music is not too loud. Table space is spacious.

Food:
Tom yum noodle soup: great lemongrass flavor; not too much msg. Quantity of noodles is a bit subpar. Decent amount of ingredients (got the shrimp version and got 5 shrimps).

Haiwanese chicken rice: chicken is a bit dry, but chicken flavor is there. Rice was good - not dry.

Shredded pork crispy noodle: great crispy noodle base, flavor is good.

Wor won ton soup: packed with fresh ingredients, impressed by the duck chicken and dumplings and the fresh veg especially the broccoli 😍

Green onion cake = yum (crunch down and chewy soft)

Korean fried chicken wings amazing, both sauces are great (sweet flavours)

Bubble tea is the best, it's thick and not too icy or milky. Good flavours (taro or coconut are my favourites )

Service is very friendly, always nice and efficient.

Very friendly staff! I ordered Yangchow Rice during my stay and I only had to wait 3-7 minutes for it. The Yangchow Rice filled me up. I had to walk for an hour just to make me feel lighter again. The atmosphere was great. It wasn't too loud and the view of the road was interesting enough. This was my second visit to their location and I'm still impressed by them!

It's not bad for what it is ... Asian food on the cheap but not fast food quality.

The price is reasonable when I ordered Gangnam Chicken Bowl, 4 piece Korean Fried chicken with sauce and pop for $23.55. There are different dishes ranging from Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Thailand etc. They even have a lot of side dishes such as dumplings, crispy pork, Korean fried chicken and stir fry vegetables etc.

The Gangnam chicken is crispy and the sauce goes well with the rice. Just wish there was a bit more rice as the container is too big. The 4 piece chicken is good as well. It is cooked to order so you get a crispy crunch when you bite on the chicken. Though you do not need the sauce as it is good on its own. However I wish the sauce was a bit spicy but I guess not a lot of customers will order it if it is spicy.

My friend recommended to buy the Hong Kong style Ice Tea. I bought it for takeout. Its not bad because the iced tea is not very sweet. Just right amount of sweetness. I also tried my friend's Hong Kong style milk tea. Again not too sweet but I prefer iced tea more.

I may buy HK style iced again.

One of the best chains in the city. I used to go o their 1st local in Collingwood. Great daily deals. They have kept everything the same, which is great. Lots of places change the quality and quantity etc to save money & these guys stuck to what they believe is their dream. Stick to your dreams and you can be as successful as they have.
